WEYMOUTH RAFFLE
We are currently organising a community raffle
in aid of our charities on Charity Support. We would like it to be a huge raffle but we do need your help. We would like to
take this opportunity to ask businesses to donate a prize for the raffle, it doesn't matter how small (or large!), anything
would be appreciated that could help to raise funds. To start the ball rolling,
thebestof Weymouth and Portland have donated a great prize for a child to be a mascot for the day with The Terras at Weymouth FC. In return we would
happily offer advertising space on the
Charity Support website to all businesses who supply prizes. So please, please have a look into your charity lockers and see what you
could give. The Raffle will be drawn during the Best of Dorset Tourism Show at the Pavilion on Sunday 16th March where you
will also be able to buy last minute tickets (find us on thebestof Weymouth and Portland stand) Over the next six weeks, we
would also be grateful to hear from any business who would be willing to sell tickets for us. Please email details of
your prize or to volunteer to sell raffle tickets for us to
charity-support@hotmail.co.uk For any help you can give us, large or small, we thank you.
BEST OF DORSET TOURISM SHOW We will be a part of the Best of Dorset Tourism day due to the very kind offer from Julie Wilson of the
Best of Weymouth and Portland giving us part of her pitch during the day so that we can meet people, fundraise and of course
draw the raffle. We will also, hopefully have with us a tank from Bovington for you all to look around, and there will
be a competition to win a prize! So come along and we’ll see you there.
FINAL THOUGHT
Well I think that's about all for now,
but do please check the website for updates, or just email us with any questions you may have. Also let us take this
opportunity to thank each and every one of you in advance for your support, it means a great
deal to us and especially our charities. Between us let’s put Weymouth and Portland firmly on the map, not just
for events like the Olympics but for what we can do for others as a community.
Take care
Chris and Clive
